I am interested in the abstract

—but in reflecting on my own works’ abstractions, I can’t help finding social references or narratives that trace back to my relationship with my mother.

My childhood memories are saturated with sound and color

—but my experience of these memories feels void of sound and color, a sensation that informs my current work.
